The uprising that started on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 is still continuing as of March 2012. protesters were focused on legal and political issues including police brutality, state of emergency laws, lack of free elections and uncontrollable corruption,and economic issues including high unemployment, food price inflation, and minimum wages.The primary demands from protesters were for the end of the Hosni Mubarak regime and the end of emergency law. The Future of Egypt lies between the control of government and to achieve the citizen’s needs, what is to come in the near future is for time to tell. When the Army lost faith in Mubarak, he finally gave the citizens what they wanted and resigned, and granted power to the Vice President; Omar Suleiman. From the span of 2010-2011 the unemployment rate went up 3.2 percent, from 9% to 12.2%. So for the year to come the unemployment rate is projected to get worse.
Using the French and Russian revolutions we can try to predict what is to come for egypt in the future. We will take historic events from France and Russia and match up to recent events in egypt.
