Egyptian Essay This exploratory
essay will talk about the relations between the Egyptian protesters and the
French and Russian protesters, and the leaders of Egypt to the leaders of
Russia and France, and based on all the information I will predict were Egypt will
be five years from now. In all three of these revolutions the leader have been
force out or killed in office. Also all three of these were caused by unfair
treatment, brutality, and skewed wages for the upper class. Throughout this paragraph, I will link the overthrowing of former president Hosni Mubarak in Egypt to the ousting of King Louis XVI in France. In 1789 to 1799, the citizens of his country, France, ousted the ruler, King Louis XVI. The leader of the rebellion was Maximilien Robespierre essentially he want freedom in France so he preach for a world that was untrue in order to get the 3rd estate citizens on his side in the revolution. The reason the 3rd estate citizens were so outraged was because the Government of France forced them to pay 98% of the taxes in France while the nobility was paying the other 2%. This is similar to Egypt because the upper class in Egypt got better treatment and had to pay less of the taxes in Egypt. Also the people of France were mad about how much the king was spending on himself and leaving the poverty in France poverty and the rich, rich. This was the same exact case in Egypt because Mubarak would take money from the government that was unaccounted for, and there are proven documents saying Mubarak stole and this was also a reason for the Egyptian protesters to feel depraved. In this paragraph, I will show the relation between the citizens of Egypt and France during their revolutions. Like I stated in the past paragraph the reasons for the protesting in both countries are very similar and although times were very different the ideas of change were parallel. For example, in the Egyptian Revolution protesters were receiving unfair wages, and the police was very brutal towards the gatherers at Tahrir Square. In France the third estate was pretty much the only people paying taxes and the conditions in France were very brutal because the wages were low and most of what is being paid to the peasants needed to be paid back to the government in form of taxes. During this paragraph, I will talk about how Hosni Mubarak treated his citizens to how Nicholas Tsar treated his citizens. Tsar Nicholas of Russia treated his citizens very poorly and the army was very violent towards citizens in public gatherings. For example, Bloody Sunday started as a peaceful gathering but the Tsar told his army to open fire into the crowd, killing over 100 people, and wounding over 300 people. This is similar to Egypt because when protesters gathered at Tahrir Square the police were very brutal and showed no mercy to the citizens instead of backing off the Egyptian citizens started to fight the police back because Mubarak was still the president and once the army lost faith in what Mubarak was doing and that gave the army brief power of Egypt. In this paragraph, I will demonstrate how the Russian Bolsheviks compare to the Egyptian protesters. The Russian Bolsheviks wanted a communist government and the Tsar running an autocratic government had a disagreement and the leader of the Bolsheviks Vladimir Lenin lead them to protest against the Tsar a after fighting between the two sides the Bolsheviks catch the Tsar off guard and execute him. This is similar to Egypt because the Protesters forced president Hosni Mubarak to resign except what they did was just continue to protest until the army realized that what the president was doing was wrong a just hurting the country in itself. So once they gave up on him he was forced to resign because he had no protection for himself. To conclude, after analyzing the research of each past revolution i believe Egypt will be in a much better place in five years. This is because former president Hosni Mubarak was the ruler of Egypt of almost 30 years and May 23 a new election will occur and it will be the peoples choice who becomes the president and who ever this new president is he will hopefully help get Egypt out of this hole Mubarak dug them into and it will be a good place to live.
